1. Breaking Bones
The most obvious symptom of osteoporosis is the breaking of your bones. You will begin to see an increase in the amount of bones you have that become fractured – and of course, in most cases, this means experiencing fractures for the first time. Something as simple as a fall in your own home could result in fractured bones or even a break in your ankle or wrist.
You may even experience fractured bones as a result of hitting your arm against door frames, or other similarly minor incidents that would usually just cause brief and mild pain.
2. Posture and Height
Osteoporosis slowly caused your height to reduce and your posture to change. If you find yourself holding your head lower than normal, and arching your back, then it could be a result of bone mass being lost in your vertebrae. Hunching over when you’re sat down or at a desk becomes more likely and results in the changing of the shape of your spine.
This also reduces your height. If you find yourself struggling to reach things that were previously not a problem, then it could mean that you have lost bone mass in your spine – and when this happens, it simply gets worse and worse through the year.
